Family Residency Visas in the UAE

(Applicable to current UAE residents only)

If your family is currently outside the UAE, the process begins by applying for an entry residence permit. Once they arrive, you’ll have 30 days to complete the residence visa stamping process.

To sponsor family members, your monthly income must be at least AED 4,000, or AED 3,000 with accommodation. If you’re sponsoring your parents, the requirement is higher—AED 20,000 per month, or AED 19,000 with a two-bedroom residence.

Required Documents

To apply, you’ll need the following:

• Typed visa application form

• Salary certificate (for government staff) or attested employment contract

• Latest 3-month bank statement (or latest month + salary transfer confirmation for new residents)

• Attested tenancy contract, Emirates ID, and Labour Card

• Attested marriage certificate (UAE-attested or home-country attested for spouse sponsorship)

• Original and copies of passports for both sponsor and dependents

• Medical report for spouse/children above 15 years (from a UAE-authorised facility)

• Three passport-sized photos for each dependent

Important Notes

• Sponsored family members must not stay outside the UAE for more than six consecutive months, or their visa will become invalid.

• In the case of multiple spouses, only one residence visa can be issued under UAE law for Muslim expatriates.
